Program dThe 2023 All Saints’ Day holidays

 

Workshops for the general public from 7 years old, lasting approximately 1h30

 Medieval snack Free

Be careful in case of bad weather, contact the Tower to find out if the activity is maintained

Cob workshop(Wednesday October 25 and Wednesday November 1 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

Price: included in the visit

Immerse yourself in the clayey soil of Termes to build the walls of our 13th century forge. Cob is a primitive but effective technique for building houses; it is a mixture of clay and straw that is interwoven into the oak sides stuck between the posts of the structure.

If you want to participate, bring appropriate clothing!

The blacksmith, an essential character of the lordship, opens the doors of his den where the fire is activated, the hammer rises and the metal takes shape before your amazed eyes!

For the curious or passionate, come and listen to the song of the anvil and observe the precious metal work. A unique immersion to discover and participate in the history of medieval know-how.

STONE CUTTING Workshop(Friday October 27 and Friday November 3 3 p.m.)

Price: visit price + €3 upon reservation

Want to discover stone sculpture? Once the history of medieval heraldry has been presented, the facilitator will introduce young and old to reconstructed stone cutting to create the  the most used heraldic “furniture”. 

You will be able to leave with your coat of arms!

Fencing initiation workshop (Saturday October 28 and Saturday November 4 3 p.m.)

Price: visit price + €3 upon reservation

Beginners or experienced, come and try your hand at handling old weapons! After a presentation of combat techniques and their history, you are invited to practice the art of medieval combat.
